Resource Guide

Welcome to Yanyja. As a Resource (practitioner or team member), this guide will help you manage your schedule and stay across every booking assigned to you.

Step 1: Accepting Your Invitation

Your Provider (employer or business owner) will invite you via email.

  1. Click the link in your invitation email (valid for 48 hours).
  2. Enter your email to receive a One-Time Password (OTP) — Yanyja is passwordless.
  3. Complete your profile setup (Display Name, Timezone).
  4. When prompted, select “Join [Provider Name] as a resource”.

Step 2: The Resource Dashboard

Your dashboard is your hub for upcoming work. Here you can:

  • View Assigned Bookings: See a calendar or list of all upcoming appointments assigned to you.
  • Booking Status: Bookings have three states: Open (awaiting provider action), Confirmed, or Cancelled.

Step 3: Managing Your Availability

Depending on the permissions granted by your Provider, you can manage your availability directly:

  • Emergency Leave: If you fall ill, you can trigger an emergency leave override. This will automatically cancel any bookings you have for that day and notify the Provider and Customer.
  • Self-Cancellation: If you cannot attend a specific confirmed booking, you can cancel your assignment to it. The booking will revert to “Open” status, alerting your Provider to either reassign the booking to someone else or cancel it entirely.

Step 4: Communication via the Booking Feed

Every booking has a Booking Feed showing messages between the Customer and the Provider, as well as automated system notifications (for example, if the Provider reschedules the appointment).

  • As a Resource, the feed is read-only. You can see all customer and provider messages, but you cannot post to this feed directly.
  • System notifications (such as time changes or cancellations) also appear here automatically so you always have the full context for each booking.
